International applicants to the universities of Northern Cyprus have to pass just ONE English placement exam or provide a certificate proving their proficiency in English (TOEFL, IELST).
All the universities have Foundation English Schools with a training period of one or two semesters. During training applicants can qualitatively improve their spoken and written English, and afterwards are required to pass 4 exams in levels of language proficiency. The effectiveness of learning English in such Foundation Schools is significantly increased thanks to the constant living in a multinational environment. It is possible to start studying at any level. Most of the teachers are British and Cypriot who have studied and trained in England.
The tuition fee at the Foundation English Schools in universities of Northern Cyprus starts from 2,500 Euro for one academic year.
