The Right to Continue Studies in Higher Education
The legislation (temporary) (amendment) granting the right of academic amnesty to students whose studies have been terminated from institutions of higher education operating under the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Higher Education Act with reference number 65/2005, has been published in Official Newspaper on 12 October 2018.
In this case, students studying at graduate programs (Master & PhD) of Eastern Mediterranean University whose studies were terminated due to one of the reasons listed below can apply for Academic Amnesty within one year starting from the said legislation's (amendment) date of effect stated in the Official Newspaper.
Students wishing to benefit from the aforesaid Academic Amnesty and return back to studies during the 2018 – 2019 Fall Term, 2018 – 2019 Spring Term (commences in February) and 2019 – 2020 (commences in September) are required to write a petition to Eastern Mediterranean University Registrar's Office no later than 11 October 2019. Further information may be obtained either from the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research or Registrar's Office.
